The Parish Council took part in the Honley Show in June 2013.  Situated in the Countryside Tent, we were positioned near to other organisations with similar objectives, such as Kirklees Council, Holmfirth Tourist Information, National Trust.  We were pleased that so many people stopped to chat, find out about the work of the Council and take part in the various quizzes we had on offer. 

They were also invited to submit views into our Suggestion Box and take part in our consultation on the Environment Plan.

The Councillors found it a great opportunity to speak directly with the people they represent, collecting views on a whole range of issues.  Some people picked up copies of the latest newsletter and annual report, whilst others were more interested in the walks leaflets.  It was a very busy day but we hope that you enjoyed it as much as we did.
