Calendar of Community Events

All community groups and 'not for profit' organisations throughout the Parish are welcome to submit information regarding their forthcoming events for publication below, free of charge.  We will also display any information notices. However, we cannot display notices of a commercial or political nature.

6 December : 2 - 4pm : Adult Christmas Crafts at Kirkburton Library
Please note the changes to the date and timing of the session
Come along and make your own Christmas decorations.  Free materials and tuition. Refreshments available.



7 and 8 December : Kirkheaton Christmas Tree Festival at St John's Church in Kirkheaton
Come along for a weekend packed full of Tree Displays, Entertainment and Refreshments.  Free craft activities for children, and live music.  Entry by donation. 
Opening Times: Saturday 10.30am to 4.30pm; Sunday approx 11.45 am (following the morning service) to 4.30pm, closing with carols around the trees.

9 - 12 December : Santa's Sleigh comes to Kirkburton and Highburton
Full details of the routes can be found here: https://www.khca.org.uk/santas-routes/  It starts off at 5.30 pm each evening from the first address listed. All funds collected to be shared between local charities.

14 December : 10 - 12 noon : Christmas Raffle Draw and HD8 Angels Children's Choir at Kirkburton Library

14 December at 7.15pm : Annual Band Concert at Kirkheaton United Church

15 December : Grange Moor Brass Band Christmas Concert at St Bartholomew's Church at 2pm
Tickets now available from Val Hope Tel: 01924 849508. Prices: Adults £7; Concessions £5.  There is a limited number of places available due to the size of the church, so please buy your ticket soon to avoid disappointment.

19 December at 6.30 pm: Kirkheaton History Group Annual General Meeting at Kirkheaton Community Centre
This is an open meeting and everyone is welcome to attend.
