Kirkburton Parish Council - Kirkheaton Ward

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN in accordance with Section 87(2) of the Local Government Act 1972 that a casual vacancy has arisen in the Office of Councillor for the Parish Council.

An election to fill the vacancy will be held in accordance with the Local Elections (Parishes and Communities) Rules 1986, if notice inwriting of a request for the election is received by the Returning Officer not later than 18 August 2025 (14 days excluding dies non, after the date of this notice).

The notice should be signed by ten electors from the Kirkburton Parish Council - Kirkheaton Ward, giving their names and addresses, and should be sent to The Returning Officer, Electoral Services, 3-5 Albion Street, Huddersfield HD1 2NG by the above date.

If an election is called, it will take place not later than 21 October 2025.
