Parish Walks

The Parish Council has reviewed and revised its series of Parish Walks.

There are 10 circular walks, all between 4 and 7 miles long, and set within a village in the parish of Kirkburton.  On each walk you will find a white way marker to follow, a guidestoop modelled on an old directional post, and depicting some feature of the village, along with a crown to celebrate the late Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee in 2012.  There is a leaflet for each route, which provides interesting historical snippets of the local area.

A free set of the 10 maps can be obtained from libraries, post offices, shops and pubs in the villages, as well as from the Parish Council office.  And you can download them from http://www.kirkburtonparishwalks.co.uk/

We hope you enjoy doing the walks and our beautiful countryside.

Please let us know what you think about them and which one is your favourite.
